At Coxe Curry, Alex partners with our clients to craft communications strategies and write case statements, grant proposals, and campaign brochures. He brings to Coxe Curry years of experience in nonprofit communications, marketing, and events.
Before joining us, Alex served as Senior Manager of Membership and Communications at Central Atlanta Progress and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, where he worked with stakeholders from across Atlanta’s civic, business, and philanthropic communities. Alex held previous roles with the United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley, the German American Chamber of Commerce, and Modern Luxury, publisher of The Atlantan. Alex’s experience also includes teaching roles at the University of Alabama, Atlanta Technical College, and the Alabama Prison Arts + Education Project.
In the community, Alex is a member of the Metro Atlanta Chamber’s ATLeaders young professionals group and an ambassador for the proposed Atlanta LGBTQ+ Community Center.
A native of southwest Iowa, Alex holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Alabama and a B.A. in Comparative Literature from the University of Iowa. In his free time, Alex enjoys reading, going to the gym, and traveling. He lives in Decatur with his partner, Tyrone, and their dog, Stone.
