Laura Hamm
Laura Hamm is an associate campaign director with Coxe Curry & Associates. Her consulting experience includes providing annual fund and capital campaign counsel to a variety of nonprofit clients including: Atlanta Ballet, The Atlanta Opera, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, Georgia Public Broadcasting, Latin American Association, NAACP, Project GRAD Atlanta, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Saint Joseph’s Hospital, and Visiting Nurse | Hospice Atlanta. Currently, Laura serves as team coordinator for The Woodruff Arts Center’s Annual Corporate Campaign, which met its $9 million goal in 2012 and involved 120 corporate volunteers.
Prior to joining Coxe Curry in 2005, Laura was The Georgia Ballet’s director of marketing and development, where she created and implemented the marketing, sales and public relations plans for the professional dance company and school; solicited donors for the annual fund and capital campaign; and managed all aspects of special events including marketing, budgeting and volunteer coordination. Additionally, she worked as the marketing and communications coordinator at Imagine It! The Children’s Museum of Atlanta where her main focus was on developing collaborations as well as print and web communications.
Laura was the 2011 president of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. In this role she developed relationships and enhanced partnerships with members, funders, sponsors and the broader community. She is also a founding board member of Dance Canvas Inc. and is a graduate of the L.E.A.D. Atlanta Class of 2010.
A former professional ballet dancer, Laura earned an M.B.A in Marketing and a M.A. in Arts Administration from University of Cincinnati. She and her husband Darren Hamm, director of domestic containerboard sales at Georgia-Pacific, have a son.
